Brunkhorst Engineering Consultants, Inc. has prepared plans, prepared and submitted permit applications for, and coordinated with the Ohio EPA for the approval and construction of new and upgrading of existing wastewater treatment facilities. Most of these facilities were extended aeration type package wastewater treatment plants which consist of a series of concrete tanks to treat the sewage, followed by a sand filter to remove small suspended solids, and a disinfection tank prior to discharge to a storm sewer or stream. Two of the facilities were aerated sewage treatment lagoons and one was a mound system. A list of these projects with the design treatment capacity and the cost of each project follows:
