Mr. Gillespie joined BEC Associates in 2014 as a Civil Engineer with over 18 years experience with other consulting engineers, the Seneca County Engineer’s Office, and a construction firm. He recently assumed the position as Director of Civil Engineering and is directly responsible for the Civil Engineering Department where he has input on all projects prior to their release for bid and/or construction. He has participated in or directed the planning, design and preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications for storm drainage systems, water distribution systems, sanitary sewers, pumping stations, pavements, pavement rehabilitation projects, marinas, shore protection and erosion control, industrial waste treatment systems, residential and commercial site development projects, design of landfills and solid waste projects, water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants. He has extensive experience coordinating these projects with local governments, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA), the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, railroads, and public utilities. As a result of his many years of experience in construction administration he has also developed working relationships with many reputable contractors who regularly provide competitive bids on plans prepared by BEC Associates.
