This project consisted of a 2800 foot long, 18-inch, sanitary sewer interceptor. This interceptor diverted the majority of the wastewater from the west side of the City away from a pump station that was at capacity and made it possible for this wastewater to flow by gravity to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
By diverting the flow from the existing pump station, other portions of the City tributary to the pump station were opened up for development. The interceptor also opened up a large portion of the west side of the City for development. Brunkhorst Engineering Consultants, Inc. performed a preliminary study, performed the required topographic and location surveys, prepared detailed plans and specifications, submitted the application forms to the Ohio EPA for approval, and performed the construction layout staking for the project.
